Putters have 3 Locations, we tried the one in Milford, I found out about this place, because I saw a Burger testing & review blog done by some of the top Chef's in the city, I think there were 4 of them, they tried the top Burgers in Cincinnati & N. Ky., and Putters won their Competition, beating another longtime top Burger in Cincinnati, Terry's Turf Club, there were several that were close, but Putters came out with the highest rated Burger in the Competition, so I had to try it out.

This trip, it was just 2 of us, Putters is Located just off of 275 in Milford by 28, it sits just off the hwy. it's a big place, with well over a Dozen Tv's with sports on them all this day, it was Father's Day, I ordered the Putters Classic  Angus Beef, with Swiss, Bacon & Lettuce, Tomato, & Onion, the waitress was very nice & friendly and asked how we wanted our burger cooked, always a Good Sign, my Wife ordered the special of the Day, Rib's & Baked Chicken.

I got Fries with mine, my Burger was around $7 or so, I did not get the full price, Bacon was 79cents extra.

My Burger was huge, they put onion Straws on it by mistake, but I did not complain, I love Onion Straws.

I ordered the Burger, Medium Well, as usual, it came Well Done, so 2 mistakes by the cook, onion straws added without asking & well done instead of medium-well, but I did not mind, we were starving & ready to eat.

The Burger was big, & looked great, as usual, I can tell by the 1st bite, how it will go, and this is One Fantastic burger, it was clearly hand-made, & fresh Angus Beef, big, juicy & all the extras were fresh, the bacon crispy and tasty, the Bun was excellent, it did not fall apart & had a good taste and it was toasted, which I like, the fries also were good.

My Wife's ribs were tender & tasty, very good, her Baked Chicken was also tender tasty, her baked potato was also good, and her Salad was big & fresh, we shared that & both liked it, I tasted all her food & she tried my Burger, & we both agree that this is one of the Best Burgers we have ever had, and we both enjoyed her meal also.

As far as what we rated this burger, check it out below, the service was good, but they need to work on getting the Cook to make sure he makes the food correctly, even though this time it did not affect my review or the taste of the food.

Final Thoughts: Awesome Burger, I would say it's on Par with the best I've ever had, I can't rate it any Better than our previous Winner of last years top Burger award Gabby's Cafe, and I can't rate it any lower than that one, so it's a tie, I will eventually return to try a different one of their Burgers, & also they claim to have the Best Wings, I will try those also as they have my Favorite, Garlic, and then I will compare those to Roosters Wings across the street, as they also claim to have the Best Wings, that's a review for another Day.
All I can say is, Go here, try it out for yourself, any Burger in our top 10 and many even lower are worth a try, but especially our top ones, you won't be disappointed with this one, also looks like a great place for a group, or somewhere to watch any sporting event, I will be back.

Final Rating: 9.5* Same as Gabby's Cafe in Wyoming, in Cincinnati, Ohio, it's a Tie, both are Awesome Burgers, & I see no way to choose between them, I would take either one over any other Burger any day of the week.

Teller's

Our 49th Review
Official Review #49

2710 Erie Avenue, Hyde Park, in Cincinnati, Ohio 45208

513.321.4721

I purchased a Living Social Coupon for Teller's & decided to try it out, even though it was not on our to-do list, nor had I seen it on any of the top Burger lists in the City.

We stopped in on a mid-Sunday Afternoon, it was not very busy, so we had our run of the place, they only serve 1 Burger,  The Romano Burger~   $12    an 8 oz prime aged beef· leek confit· roasted tomato·bibb lettuce·truffle mayonnaise·pecorino romano·brioche bun· with dill fries
Chicken Quesadilla  $10  grilled chicken·cheese blend·chipotle cream·poblano·sweet chili sauce
guacamole.

When the Burger arrived, it was one of the Best Looking Burgers, I've ever seen, the Brioche Bun looked great, the meat was thick, we couldn't wait to jump into this one.

The Meat was definitely hand-made, the Waitress did ask how we wanted it cooked, and most got it Medium or Medium well.

This was another Burger where everyone was within 1 point of agreement on it, the Burger was good, no doubt about it, Top 10 worthy, No,  but very close, we could not taste anything in the Burger, no salt or anything, and everyone agreed, a little salt cooked into it, or some other spice or something, would have helped.

To us, it was just a good, plain ole Burger, that any of us, I compared to a nearby Burger in Mt. Lookout, Zip's Cafe, it looked & tasted exactly like a Fancy Zip's Burger, but I would take this one over Zip's.

Good Yes, awesome & top 10, no, but very close.

The tomatoes were very good, the Brioche bun was good, but, Delites in Maysville, has the Best & a much better Brioche Bun.

Fries were good, & the Chicken Quesadilla, was ok, but not one of the best we've had, I've had many much better, especially Gabby's Cafe in Wyoming, has a much better Quesadilla.

Final Thoughts: Good Solid Plain Burger, that looks much better than it tasted, just plain good, nothing special, there are much better Burgers around, and they could use more than 1 Variety on the Menu, it comes close to our top 10, but just barely misses, maybe adding some salt & such to it while cooking will help.

Final Rating:  7.5* Try it -above Avg/Good to VG)

Next Tasty Review:  Not sure yet, but we will check our list & try to hit one of the top 10 in Cincinnati.

Great Looking Burger, one of the best presentations, I've seen, but the taste
was just plain good,  not great good.

Official Review #48

We are from Cincinnati & N. Ky., we do Burger reviews for a blog, and have done so for many years now, so we were in Richmond the other day, I saw this place & it looked good on the outside & busy, & then I read the reviews here, and all the people raving about it's Burgers, & after trying it out, I just sat there in amazement, saying Wow, unbelievable, that so many people absolutely love this place, as a Burger place compared to the best Burgers from Maysville, thru Florence to Cincinnati, it does not make our top 50 list, where have all you people been getting your burgers from to compare to, just wow, LOL, the burger meat was paper thin, I thought they beat Frisch's whom I previously thought had the thinnest meat, it was so thin, the Bun so thick & big, I could hardly find the meat, let alone taste it, again, LOL< I guess it's Ok, if your in a hurry & looking for a quick bite at lunch or sometime, but give me a Mcdonalds Mcdouble over this anyday, at least Mcds has a piece of meat I can taste, you people that love this burger, should head north & try out some real burgers in N. Ky. & Cincinnati, & Maysville, & Augusta, Ky. this Burger is ok, it's plain, it's simple, it's nothing more than a quick bite if your starving & may not want to spend a lot & in hurry, I can't speak for their other food items, but I would never, ever order another Burger here again, I would find another place in the area to eat, that's much better,  Burger or not. LOL & Wow to the person that said, they drove from cincinnati to eat here twice when it opened, Cincinnati has dozens of Burgers spots that blows this place out of the water, get out more people try some real burgers.

Final Thoughts: I guess the people that live near this place loves it, it's not bad, it's not great, just a decent, Fair Burger & fries & meal, I would only suggest it if there is nothing else open & any better burger spots nearby, makes for a good quick lunch or meal on the go.

Culver's

Official Review #47

I had heard a lot online & from others, about Culvers, that we had to try it our, so we finally have.
Here is what they advertise, Burgers, Made with fresh, never frozen, 100% U.S. beef, your ButterBurger® is cooked up only after you order, topped just the way you want it and served on a lightly buttered toasted bun, Made to order.
I ordered The Culver's Deluxe, some got it with Bacon & a couple of us ordered the Original Butterburger.
Prices are average.

This is review is short & quick, since these Burgers won't challenge our top 20.

Everyone liked their Burgers, but we all were in unanimous agreement after just a few bites, that these burgers would not challenge our top 10 list, & most likely not even our Top 20.

They were good burgers, yes, but the very best, not at all, if your in a hurry for decent fast meal, or a good quick Lunch, this is as good as any, and alternative to the many fast food places.

Final Thoughts: Decent, good Burger, best suited for a quick on the go meal, at Lunch for someone out on their Lunch break or something, good, but won't challenge our top 20 Best places.

Final Rating: 4.5* (Average/Not Bad-Nothing Special)

Next Tasty Review: Cookout, In Richmond, Kentucky

Looks 10x better than it actually is, there are way more better Burgers to be had than this one, it's good if your on the go, or for a Quick Lunch or Dinner.

Logo's Sports Bar & Grill

Our 46th Review
Official Review #46

8954 Blue Ash Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242

513.791.7700

I've been coming to Logo's for many years now, I use to bring my kids when they were small, they are all grown with kids of their own now, & Logo's has always been one of my Favorite places to eat, they have always had awesome Steak Hoagies & Burgers & Appetizers & Salads.

I had not been there in nearly 2 Years, so I decided to add them to our review list, as it had always been a great Burger.

We stopped in around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon, it was crowded, we all ordered a variety of burgers, I had one with Bacon & Cheddar on it, with Lettuce, Tomato & Onion an Mayo, the Mayo comes on the side in a packet, & everyone got fries.

The Menu was completely new since my Last visit, they were now touting Gourmet Burgers, so I expected at least, the same great burger, if not better than I was use to here.

The waitress did ask how we wanted our Burgers cooked, which many places do not, this was a good start.

My Burger with Bacon & Cheddar was $6.99 Fries added were $1.49 so total with Tax & tip was $9 a bit much for a Burger & Fries & Water to drink.

The Burger was a tad smaller than I had been used to in the past, all of our Burgers were perfectly rounded off, this definitely shows they came frozen out of a Box, too perfect to be Handmade, but I asked & they claimed they were made with fresh beef, I just can't see it happening, as they were too perfectly formed, unless they make them with some type of container that they stuff the beef in to form them perfectly, but I have yet to encounter a place that does that, so I'm sticking with the Frozen Patty in a Box until proven different, but then the final taste test would decide if it's frozen Patty or Handmade Beef.

The Burger looked very good, just smaller than I thought it would be.

The 1st bites were not very satisfying at all, everyone was in total agreement on that, the burgers were fairly thick, but lacked almost any flavor at all, mine even with Bacon & Cheddar & all the toppings, lacked any noticeable flavor, this definitely backs up my original thoughts that it was a Frozen Patty & not Handmade from Fresh Beef, there is no way, Handmade Fresh Burgers could taste this blah, & Plain.

The more I ate & The more everyone dug into their burgers, the more we all agreed that this was not a good Burger, we usually wait before talking final rating numbers, I asked everyone to throw some initial ratings out, we had a 4 a couple 5s & a 3, I said then, maybe a 4 at best.

After getting home, checking over my list of other similar tasting Burgers that I clearly remember, this one gets a very low rating, I remember commenting later after we left, that this burger just left a Bad taste in my mouth, instead of a good one, wanting more, as is always the case for any good burger we have had.

The Fries were also hard, overcooked, not burnt, but just hard fries, & not very good either.

Final Thoughts: I can't recommend this once, excellent Burger, nor the Fries, I will return again to see if they still have a great Steak Hoagie & Appetizers.
And for $9 including tip with water to drink, it's way overpriced, it's like they are touting a fresh Handmade Gourmet Burger on the Menu, then you get the taste & Flavor of a Frozen Patty, & if this is Fresh Handmade Beef, then, they are buying & Cooking up some very bad burgers from fresh meat, anyone could easily make a burger twice as good or better on their stove or grill at home.

Final Rating: 3.0  (Average/Not Bad-Nothing Special)

Town & Country Lanes

Official Review #45

2380 Rains Eitel Rd. Aberdeen, Ohio 45101

  937.795.2153    1.800.551.BOWL

We stopped in here last year for a birthday party & bowling. but we did not have a chance to eat.

Since then, we have had a couple people recommend the Burger Sliders here, & their Lunch special, so we did.

Only my Wife & I made this trip because it was Lunchtime during the week, we did not realize they have booths to sit in, on the other side of the food area from where the Bowling lanes are located, so we ordered & sat there.

We both ordered the Lunch Special, 3 Burger Sliders, Fries & a Drink for $5  you certainly can't beat that price anywhere.

The Burgers looked like homemade White Castles, & they looked good, we couldn't wait to dig in, & I was expecting a good burger based on the recommendations we had received, & we were not disappointed at all, these are some great little sliders, they came with pickles, onions & mustard, I normally do not use mustard on my Burgers, but on these, it worked perfect.

The Meat appeared to be hand-made fresh meat, which is always a plus, but not always a given at places, but here it is, the meat had a nice flavor to it, it looked like they have a typical old grill, that many places like this have, & it always seems to lead, to excellent food, & this sandwich is no different, it also tasted a bit like White Castle burgers, but only these in my mind, were much better, we both agree, these are the best sliders we have tried anywhere to date, we mainly have been trying full-sized Burgers, but this year, we are going to include Sliders.

The Fries were also good, they have a wide variety of items on the menu to choose from, which the menu is also located on their website, which is listed above in the name of the location, that link will take you to their site.

The workers were nice & Friendly, & the Cook did an excellent job on the food, we got to chat with the owner, I believe it was Larry Aldridge, he was very nice to talk to & we appreciate it, as I know you guys had a lot of phone-in orders to take care of.

Final Thoughts: Excellent Sliders, & excellent Lunch Special, but you can eat here for Dinner also, we can gladly, and highly recommend these Sliders & Fries, anytime, & can't wait to make it back & have some more ourselves, & we plan to give a few other items on the menu a try.
Go here, try these sliders out, & drop in for the Lunch special if you can, & bowl a few games.

Final Rating: We plan to give these 2 Ratings, 1 rating strictly as a slider & then another rating, stacking it up against full-sized burgers, & of course the Slider rating will be higher, as it's tough for sliders to fully stand up, to a full-size burger. Slider Rating 9*  Burger Rating: 7.5*

Next Tasty Review: We have a full list to eventually try out this year, so for now, were not sure where our travels in the area & up through Cincinnati will take us, but, we have the top-rated burgers around on our list, & our Goal is to find the best tasting Burgers & Now Sliders from Cincinnati, through N. Ky, & Florence to Maysville & everywhere in between, & we promise nothing but honest & unbiased opinions based on our visit, if you favorite place does not get the rating you expect, you must remember, we have tried out 45 total Places now, & we have had some excellent burgers, & the competition is tough, but we will do our best, & the whole Team will be with us, as often as possible on our Journey to find the best Burgers around.

Pasquale's

Our 44th Review
Official Review #44

786 US Highway 68 MaysvilleKY 41056

606.564.4039

I will start this review off by saying We all Love Pasquale's in Maysville's Food, I love their Pizza, large ones and the Mini Pizzas, Garlic Bread, Fries, Chicken Fettucini, Steak Hoagies, Salads, whatever we have had their is awesome, it's just about my & our Favorite place to eat anytime, & it's always crowded & the service is usually about 90% of the time great waitresses, and it's a nice clean Place, also the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is excellent.

Now for the Burger review, I will make this one, quick & easy, it's a Frozen Patty out of a Box, which usually means, it won't be that good, I"ve had a couple like this that have actually been good, but this is not one of them, but again, it's a Pizza Place, so I won't be getting their Burger anytime soon, & I Recommend you go get one of the best around in either Old Maysville at 2 or 3 spots there or 1 place in Brooksville or several in Augusta, but not here.

I do recommend you come here & Get almost anything else on their Menu, as all the rest of their food is Fantastic, I could eat here anytime, it just won't be a Burger, if I were you guys, I would just scrap the Burger completely & Maybe just have a kids Burger, or, it would'nt hurt if you wanted to keep the Burger, to drastically update it, if you want to know how, try out the Delites Burger, or the Hutchison's Grocery Burgers, not far from Pasquales, & you will see what a great Burger tastes like, that would really help, but please don't serve the ones you have currently.

Final Thoughts: Not Good, either Upgrade it or get rid of it.

Final Rating: 2* Just Beating out Tumbleweed, for worst Burger in the area

Next Tasty Review:  Not sure yet, but looking over our long list of Locations, & our long list of suggestions from readers, friends & family.

Pleasant Ridge Chili

Our 43rd Review
Official Review #43

6032 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45123

513.531.2365

I've lived in the area near this place for over 45 years, and all the times I've eaten here, I have never had one of their Burgers, I've always ate the Chili or Coney, 5-way or Double Decker or Breakfast, I can't believe I've never had their Burgers until recently, so here is our review.

We stopped in on a weekday about 3pm in the afternoon, the place was still about half full at that time of day, I have always loved all their food, and would recommend all the above items I mentioned above to anyone, it's a great stop for Breakfast, or late night especially, but really I could eat here anytime.

We all ordered just a Plain Hamburger: $2.55 to really test it out, some of us got Lettuce or other addons, but no cheese on this one.

The Meat is on the thinner side, maybe thicker than a Frisch's Big Boy meat, but it's still thin, the Bun was good, not a cheap, fall apart one, but it was a little big for the meat in my opinion, maybe next time I will try a double deluxe & see how it shapes up.

The Flavor overall was actually pretty good, just a little too much bun for me & a couple of our other members agreed, but all were in agreement, that this was a good burger, not great, not awesome, but just a good solid, plain ole burger, good enough for a quick lunch, or late nite snack, I would prefer myself to get Breakfast or Chili or Coneys or Double Deckers, as I think they are all much better than the burgers, you can get much better burgers in town, but for a quick stop, the burger with some good fries would be a good meal.

P.S. Please Do not Forget, as I have done on several occasions, that this is a Cash Only Location.

Final Thoughts: Great for a quick meal or late night, not top 10, or even makes our top 20 list, but that is not a bad thing or does not mean it's not worth getting, it's still a good burger, there are just too many better places in town & N. Ky. to get a great Burger, I just would not come here specifically for the Burger.

Final Rating: 6.5*

Next Tasty Review: It will be Pasquales in Maysville, we were planning on it before this one, but did not make it.

Carota's Pizza

Our 42nd Review & 2nd of 2014
Official Review #42

115 Main Street Augusta, KY 41002

606.756.2343

We Love their Baked Carota Sandwiches with Ham & Swiss cheese, & like their Pizza, & Steak Hoagies, so when I saw Burgers on the Menu, I had to try them out, I don't expect great Burgers at Pizza places, but I still try a Burger anywhere I find one.

Mine came with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion & Mayo, I could not tell 100% if this was a Frozen Patty or real Beef, it was a good Burger, it was a mishaped piece of meat, & tasted good, so I'm not sure & I just didnt feel like asking, LOL, so I still don't know.

Either way, it was good, not great, not awesome, but for a Pizza Joint, it was a surprisingly good Burger, there are 4 places in town that serve great Burgers if your out just for that, but if your here with friends & want a burger, it's good.

I suggest never to order just a plain salad, I did, & it came on a regular sized plate, with barely a handful of lettuce scattered on the plate, it might have had something else mixed in, but I was so shocked, how little & just plain crappy this salad was, it was less than $3 I forget the exact price, but it was not much, it was barely worth two bucks, if that, I doubt I would have paid a $1.50 if I had seen it ahead of time, so forget the salads here, if this one was any indication of what they do here.

Price is good, & service can be very slow at times if they are even slightly busy, they usually have 1 waitress & she can't handle it all at times, the place looks clean, & it's located on Main Street in Augusta, Ky.

Final Thoughts: Good Burger, try it out if your here, but again, I like 4 other Burgers better in town, but that does not take anything away from this one, but I go here for the Baked Carota & Pizza anyway.

Final Review: 6.5* (Try it-above avg/Good to VG)

Cadillac Cafe

Our 41st Review
Official Review #41

UPDATE! This one has gone out of business, the food was not too bad, but the cleanliness of the Cooks and Waitresses, were awful, GLAD IT's GONE!

735 US Highway 68MaysvilleKY 41056

606.564.9909

This is our 1st review of 2014, we completed 40 reviews in 2013 & we hope to do another 40, if not more in the coming year.

We had passed this new Cafe several times, before we decided to give it a try, it's good looking, old timey Cafe & very clean on the inside, the Waitress was very nice, but the Cook was talking on his Cell phone as he cooked our Burgers, & he also did not wear any gloves of any kind, so due to these 2 facts, we decided we will not ever return to this place to eat again, as Cell phones are known to carry many germs & bacteria.

We did not think much about this at the time or we decided later, we would have canceled our food order & left without trying the food, this is no way for any place that serves food to allow it's employees to act, it's the same as if they used the restroom & did not wash.

So on to the review, which to us does not really matter, because we can't recommend this place due to the unhealthy actions of the cook.

We all ordered the plain Burger, which came with Lettuce, tomato & onion, and all with Fries.
Fries were good, & the Burger was not a frozen patty, & we ordered them medium well done, the Burgers tasted good, but we could have done as well or better on our own grill's.

That's about it for this review, since due to the cook's actions while preparing our Burgers, we will never return here again to eat & can't recommend this place to anyone else, as they are lucky that patrons were not made to get sick due to these unhealthy actions.

A note to the owners & hopefully the cook that afternoon was not an owner, either teach this person how to properly prepare food & wear the proper gloves & to never, ever touch a Cell phone and cook food, without washing your hands, look it up on the net, how filthy cell phones are, they are up there with Computer Keyboards & other items.

Final Thoughts: I would have fired the Cook on the spot if it was my place of business.
Just an Update to this review, someone left us a comment saying we were nuts & wrong about the cook, that they have seen different, well all I can say is, whomever you are that left that comment, you were not there the 1 day we were there & I saw the Cook, flipping burgers with no gloves on & a flipper in 1 hand & his Cell held up to his ear in the other hand, so please do not dispute something when you were not there to see it, I have no reason to lie or exaggerate, I only comment as I see it, & after seeing that disgusting unhealthy, germ spreading way of Cooking, I will never take the Chance to eat here again, you of course may continue to do so, because if the cook was so careless that day, then it's clear to me, it is most likely not his only neglect in being clean while cooking, so please by all means, continue to eat here, & anyway, Delites & Hutchison's Grocery barely 5 minutes or so away, have Burgers that are twice as good anyway, so I would go to either before I would eat this Burger again any how, so Healthy or unhealthy cooking standards aside, their are much better burgers around town & other closer areas.
And if this was the only time out of everytime this cook has cooked a meal here, it's 1 too many for me that he held his Cell phone to his ear while cooking my Burgers, & all Cooks by Health & Cleanliness standards, should cook with some type of gloves on.
So I will excuse your comment about us being nuts about our review, I saw what I saw & that changes nothing in my mind, personally, that was absolutely dangerous for anyone to cook like that, you could cause germs or anything to spread to the food & make anyone sick from it, so luckily none in our party got sick from this trip, but please enjoy your burgers here, just keep & eye on how the cook uses his hands & what's in them, & if they use no gloves, you better wonder what he has touched before he handled your food, because read online & look it up, a Computer Keyboard & a Cell phone are 2 of the very top Germ spreader you can find anywhere.

Final Review: We will rate the Burgers a 5.5 here, maybe we were biased by the cooks unhealthy cooking, but no matter, it would not have rated much higher, just a good, plain, simple burger, there are much better in Maysville & not far away.
