I've lived in the area my entire life and this Bar has had several owners over time and been a different type of place, but now it's locally owned and it's now a Sports Bar that serves a good variety of food.

We got a Groupon coupon for it, so decided to try it out, we had held our yearly Fantasy Football draft here at the beginning of the season but were so busy drafting, we only had time then, for appetizers, more on that visit later.

This trip it was 2 of us and we tried the Hamilton's All-American Burger, $7.99 A 1/3 lb patty topped with American cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato & pickle. it says on the Menu all Burgers cooked to Medium Well, My Wife ordered the M.V.P. - B.L.T., $6.99 A Hawaiian toast filled with lettuce, bacon, tomato & mayo. Served with warm tortilla chips & Sal Sancho dressing. Her BLT was excellent, the Bacon had very good flavor to it and was crunchy an cooked done, too many places give you soggy bacon, this bacon, looked and tasted great, the Tomato and lettuce were fresh and tasted good, the Hawaiian toast also had a good flavor and I like their Mayo, overall an excellent BLT, served with Red, & Black Chips that were also very good with a very good tasting dipping sauce.

Now onto the Burger review, The Burger was big and looked great, one of the best looking ones I've had anywhere, nowhere on the Menu could I find if it was 100% real beef or some type of frozen pre-made patty, the Menu mentions several times that their burgers are 1/3 and 1/4 pound patties, if a place serves real beef, I always believe they will advertise that fact to promote the Burger, since it did not mention that fact, and after my taste test, I have to say it's a pre-made, Frozen Patty out of a Box, to me it tasted like that, although one of the best Frozen ones I've had, but it still lacked the look and flavor of a real Beef Patty, Hand-Made, it tasted extremely plain, I could not detect any spices or anything, and even though the Menu says all Burgers are cooked Medium-Well, this one looked well done.
The Meat itself, just had ZERO flavor, the lettuce and tomato were fresh and tasted good, it had one of the better buns I've had anywhere on a Burger, so if they started serving a real beef burger with better flavor, they could have a real winner here and a definite top 10 contenders on our list.

I could have asked what kind of meat it was, but if the meat is that flavorless and looks that much like it comes out or a box, then I just assume it's not real beef.

The Burger came with a good amount of Fries and they were pretty good, we ordered Potato Skins, they call them, Big Klu Tater Skins $8.99 5 potato boats topped with bacon, scallions & cheese. Served with sour cream, these are excellent Skins, a bit overpriced for sure, maybe $6.99 would be more acceptable.

Now a short review on our Fantasy Football Draft we held there, we got their Private room in the front to the right as you walk in, a decent sized room for our Draft with some large empty walls that allowed us to place our Draft board on, and plenty of tables and chairs, we told them when we reserved the room for a Saturday Early afternoon what we wanted the room for ahead of time, as we all arrived, a waitress finally came in, we ordered skins, as with this trip, they were good, but she only came back 2 or 3 times during our draft to check on 10 of us, also we found 1 light to turn on, so we asked about the other lights in the Room, she said they were burnt out, WOW, several and most of the lights in the room and all but 1 were burnt out, really, LOL, and they knew we were coming that day and time and still did not change the lights, luckily it was daylight out and we had some lighting through the Window, all I can say about our Draft here is that we will never hold our Draft here ever again, we heard from some friends that other Sports Bars were offering Drafting tools to use and giving group discounts on food and drinks, and another place I saw online offered 1 or 2 Free apps, per so many people attending, this place seemed to care less they had a group of 10 or more in their Private room on a slow day when barely half a dozen people were in the place beside us, so definitely no more drafts here.
If they had any clue about Fantasy Football and it's popularity, they would turn that room into a DRaft room and advertise it and offer things to groups that Draft there, they might make some extra cash, but they seem clueless to it and seemed not to care about anyone in that room, no matter how many people are in it.

Final Thoughts: The Burger tasted like a Pre-made Frozen Patty, and looked it, although a good Frozen Patty and if it was real beef, then it's either a very good frozen Patty or a bad piece of real beef, I'm leaning towards the Frozen Patty one.
I would return here for the BLT, and Tater Skins, even at $9 for the Skins, and would be willing to try something else, but I doubt I would ever order the Burger again, not that it was bad, but for $8 for a Frozen Patty, it's not worth it and it has no taste, if not for a Good tasting bun and fresh tasting toppings, it would be last on my list, so try something else, unless  you want to pay $8 or more for a good Pre-made Frozen patty.

MY SUGGESTION TO MVP< Start Buying real 100% Beef or Angus and advertise that fact, put a few spices on it and ask how people wish it to be cooked, and keep the Bun and fresh toppings and you could have one of the best Burgers in the City.

Final Rating: 6.0* (Avg/Not Bad-Nothing Special)

Official Review #59

Several Locations in the Cincinnati area and 2 in N. Ky. check out the website for Locations near you, for this review I tried the Florence, Kentucky location.

7905 Mall Road
Florence, Kentucky
Just across from Florence Mall by Toys r us.

I have always loved Izzy's Sandwiches, their Reubens and Corned Beef & Salami, with Pickles and excellent Fried Potato Pancakes, I'm not sure when they started adding Burgers, but just recently I started seeing them pop up in best burger discussions for the area, so we decided to try them out.

We ordered a Double ZZ Burger with Corned Beef, $8,99  a 100% Angus beef on rye, you can get it with Corned Beef, or Pastrami.

Also an Izzy Burger $8.29 With lettuce, tomato and red onion on a toasted kaiser bun.

They both come with about 4 of their excellent Pickles, a big Potato Pancake, and a pack of Mustard, I normally don't use Mustard on my Burgers, but it's good on these and their regular Sandwiches.

They don't ask you here how you want them cooked, ours came well-done, next time if I come here again, I will ask if they can cook it Medium-Well and see if they will do that or if Well-Done is their Standard way to cook them.

They were fairly good-sized thick patties, definitely no hint of spices, no salt, pepper or anything, we had to add our own, it was a good tasting piece of Beef, reminded me of Zip's Cafe Burgers, a good tasting burger, but something I could cook on my own grill at home with good beef, nothing special, just plain good.

The Rye that mine came on was really good, I actually preferred it over the Kaiser Bun of their Plain burger, also the Corned Beef was excellent and added to the taste of the Burger, made it much better, gave it a better Flavor.

I think if they would add some spices when cooking it, and if they would ask how you wanted them cooked, would definitely improve the Flavor of these good burgers.

We both agreed this was a pretty good Burger and would definitely prefer the one with the Corned Beef on any future trips.

The Whole Meal definitely filled us up.

Final Thoughts: We can definitely recommend these Burgers, give the Double ZZ a try with Corned Beef or Pastrami, otherwise, you will get just a plain ole good burger, the Corned Beef or Pastrami really makes it different and special.

Final Rating: 7.0* - 6.0* without the Corned Beef or Pastrami, 7.0* with it.

 with Corned Beef on Rye!

We stopped in here on a late Monday night so we could get a meal and watch Monday Night Football, I had remembered getting Wings here more than 20 years ago and could not believe it was still here, I don't think it had the same name, but served Wings and the same type of food.

the inside looks great, it's split into 2 parts, the left side is the Bar with a wall separating the Dining area, which has an old-time look to it.

The Waitress was awesome that night, we ordered 20 Garlic Wings and a couple of deluxe Burgers.

The Wings were excellent, they won the N. Kentucky award for Best Wings in the area and it's well deserved, the Burger is another thing, I won't go into too much on it, except that, I won't go here again for Burgers, they are known for their  Wings, so that's what you should order, the Fries were also good.

The Bun fell apart, again, I absolutely hate when I 1st pick up a burger and the bun starts falling apart, the Burger itself, just was not very good, it was pretty plain, it was a big burger, but the bun was not good and the meat could have been much better, I  would never order it again, simply put, there are so many better Burgers around, go elsewhere for them, but go here for the Great Wings.

No more needed here, it just was not good!

Final Thoughts: Great Wings, I love the Garlic Wings & Fries with Celery & Blue Cheese!
If this were a Blog for Best Wings, this one would be in the top 5 and Challenge for the top spot, as good as any Wings around.

Final Rating: 4.5*

My Wife & I had a groupon Coupon and stopped in, it's in a nice little area of Covington, and the place itself, looked clean and updated, it was around Lunch time, I got the Main Strasse Monster $10.99
it was huge, no way to get this thing in your mouth, you have to cut it and eat it in pieces,
Double Chuck, Double Cheese, Double Fried Egg, 4 strips of bacon. is worth it with Fries, which were good.
With the Groupon coupon, it was nearly half of a $20 order, The Burger was very good, although I don't prefer Chuck, it was still very good, 2 fried eggs were too much, I can eat a lot, but this Monster is way too big and way too much burger, it would be much better at half the size for me, and still that would be a big burger, I would come here to eat a  Normal Regular Burger anytime, now when I say this Burger was huge, it's no exaggeration, it's the absolute biggest burger I've ever had, it was pretty good, but 2 eggs just took away too much from the taste of the meat, so I started removing some of the extra items on this thing to get a better taste of the burger, it definitely had lots of seasonings in it and was a bit overcoocked, but still good, I ordered it Medium-well but don't believe it made it that way, as it tasted Well Done
I've heard they have excellent Pizza and I saw several people picking up boxes of Pizza to go, so I want to try it next time, but the reviews say Pizza is good, Burgers are VEry Good and big, so are the fries, service was ok, Bar Tender was waitress at Lunch Time, not too busy or too many people, but when we gave her the Groupon coupon to start out, she seemed to get an attitude about it, I hate it when places offer coupons, then their employees give you an attitude for using them, service from her was slow, I still gave a good Tip, even though her service sucked, because I don't want them to think coupon people are cheap, but businesses, you need to get on your people about this coupon attitude, next time if service is poor, I will ask for the manager and tell them just because we have a coupon, does not mean we won't leave a good tip for good service and if service is bad, I will tell the Manager that's why no or very little tip, and that even with a Coupon I won't return a 3rd time or more, no matter how good the food, and that I will pass that on to everyone I know, if it happens again at any location I use a coupon at.

Final Thoughts: Very Good Burger, but order a regular burger, the Monster is too much and also you just can't quite get a taste of the burger due to all the extra stuff on this one., fries were good, service sucked.
