We stopped here and grabbed a take-out order, during Burger week 2018 as it was one of the few places to offer take-out during this week, they had their new

SOUTH + SOUTHWEST BURGER

Looks like it's normally around $10 for their burgers, they serve breakfast & Lunch and seem to close early.

Juicy Angus beef burger topped with our house-made spicy-sweet jalapeno jelly and crispy Tajin-spiced chicharrón (pork rinds), resting on a bed of fresh lettuce, tomato, and our own bourbon mayo to add a southern twist. Served on a toasted brioche bun, it’s the perfect marriage of Southern and Tex-Mex, just the way we like it.

The Angus Beef Patty tasted absolutely Amazing, one of the very best tasting Patties I've ever had, but this was on a Gourmet type Burger, and this one, none of us liked, it was just way too sweet, I don't like my Burgers sweet, to me that takes away from the Flavor by adding sweet sauces and spices.
The Patty a near 10* the overall burger about a 4* we did not care for the Jalapeno Jelly and I love Jalapeno's, The pork rinds were good, just not on a Burger, alone, yes they would have been fine, the Bourbon mayo was good, and by itself might have been ok, but just added more sweetness to it all.
The Angus Beef Patty was definitely full of spices, Salt, Pepper & maybe some oregano, or Montreal Steak Seasoning, but either way, it was delicious!
If I came here again, I would order just a plain Burger, with the patty and maybe lettuce, tomato, onion, and I'm sure my Rating would then go way up, the Brioche Bun was also good, the place looked clean and everyone very friendly, parking was easy, about 40% full in the place, but our take-out seemed to take forever, but they were nice, I ordered a Large Diet Dew, $2.25 the guy behind the counter said yes, it's very hot out today you definitely need a Large, a small was $1.75 so I figured why not, when he handed me the drink, it looked like a small at Mcdonald's, LOL!, I thought WOW!, how big or should I say how small is your small, very tiny drink for over $2 bucks, oh well.
Final Thoughts:  Awesome Tasting  Angus Beef Patty, one of the best I've had, overall Burger was way tooooo, Sweet, I will return to try the Beef on a plain ole burger, I will give it a higher rating due to the great tasting Beef.
Final Rating:  7.5* (Try it-abv Avg/Good to VG)
Next Tasty Review:  Still looking locations over!

They put it in a nice sized plastic container with condiments, napkin.

Wahlburgers

We chose Wahlburgers as one of our places to visit during Cincinnati Burger week 2018, we have watched their TV show since it started and I've always been curious how good their Burgers are.

The Location in Downtown Cinci, is very rough on parking, extremely hard to get a spot close unless your lucky to find one, parking is around $2.50 an hour on the parking meters, and during Burger Week with Prime Cincinnati in it and 580 Market both just a half block away, you could hit all 3 during the same visit, might be best to find a parking garage or something, they are somewhat cheaper, and the Parking enforcement people patrol that area hard.

We got there about 12:45pm on a Thursday, it was packed, but no wait at that point, service was fast and friendly and the waiter very nice and informative about the place when we said it was our 1st time there.

We ordered the Our Burger   $8.45 regular price, $5 for Burger week, 1/3lb custom grind burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, Paul's housemade signature sauce & pickles, with Fries  $3.50 a bit pricey for that size of order of fries, may as well have ordered another $5 Burger, the fries were very good, the Water, not too good, but I guess that's typical Cincinnati tap water, the Bun was not a Brioche, but it was the best Non-Brioche Bun I've had anywhere, very good Bakery Bun, I'm sure they get them specially made.

It was a fairly good-sized Burger, the lettuce, tomato & onion and pickles were all fresh and tasty, the sauce was good also, the Beef was Cooked to order, Medium Well as I always do, the meat flavor by itself was just a tad plain, even with salt & pepper I put on it, we had eaten earlier at B&A Street Kitchen and their Angus Beef Patty was excellent & Delicious much better than this beef, but B&A's overall Burger was not as good as this, if Paul could take B&A's excellent Angus Beef Patty and replace his, they would have a huge hit and a much better tasting burger, as it is, it's just a good plain ole fashioned Burger, which I like and I gave it a good rating and review overall, not the best tasting Beef Patty around, but good enough.

With great Friendly & Fast service, I would recommend to try it out at least once here, there are too many other excellent Burgers in town for us to return here again unless we are invited with friends, I would not want to fight the parking headache again.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday - Thursday | 11:00am - 10:00am
Friday - Saturday | 11:00am - 11:00pm
Sunday | 11:00am - 10:00am
Final Thoughts: Just a good Old Fashioned Burger, Very Good Overall, but the Beef Patty not quite as Tasty as others in town, Fries were good, service great, parking terrible, I would recommend once but would not go back myself as there are better in town, but we love the show, so had to try it out.

Final Rating:  8.0*  (Try it-above Avg/Good to VG)

Official Review #73

BucketHeads

We went to BucketHeads, after checking the reviews they were nearly split on how good this place was, only a few burger reviews, this review is short and simple.
We went during Burger week & got The Handyman Burger  for $5
This is your classic cheeseburger, 1/3 Pound of Beef, cooked to order, and downright delicious. I love a good, juicy cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint. I opted for ketchup and mustard in lieu of the tartar sauce, but I would highly recommend this burger if you're in the mood for one.

Mainly Salt & Pepper are about the only spices I detected on it, the bun was pretty good, just a plain bun, nothing special, the toppings were fresh, it came with, American Cheese, Lettuce, Pickles & Tartar Sauce.
It was fairly good-sized, it filled us both, we also got a salad, pitiful, not much in it, I would not recommend a salad here.

If you want a good plain ole burger, nothing gourmet or anything, this is it.

Final Thoughts:  A very good Plain old fashioned, normal burger, similar to the Wahlburgers Our Burger we had earlier.

Final Rating:  8.0* (Try it-above Avg/Good to VG)

Update for 2019 Cincinnati Burger week!
I went here on the 1st day of Burger week to try it out since it was my #1 pick from the last 2 years and also #1 on this blog now, I have been so busy I have not had a chance to post this update, as my Wife who normally is always with me on my reviews along with some other members of our group could not get out due to health issues this year, and then the heat was so bad even when she felt better she could not go, so this trip was just myself, and here is this years entry from Prime for burger week, it's the same as last year which is perfectly fine with me, and once again nothing has changed.
This is still the Best burger I've had anywhere, in Cincinnati, & Northern, Ky. all the way down to Maysville, it was absolutely delicious.
I would and will recommend this burger and restaurant to anyone I can, when I find a good burger, a good tasting top 10 burger and especially one worthy of the Top Five and the #1 SPOT, I go all out to let people know, because I enjoy sharing that information and to help patronize that location and support them and their burgers, not since Gabby's Cafe in Wyoming has 1 burger occupied the #1 Spot on our list more than 1 year.
This one has made it 2 in a row and they are heading for 3 in a row by the end of 2019, Gabby's was #1  I think 4 years in a row, but they fell off a bit the last few years and had a poor showing in last years burger week, so I did not try them out this year, but will do so in a few months to see where they are at with their burgers, but definitely get to Prime, 100% the best burger in the area, and Cincinnati has as many if not more excellent burger spots here than anywhere else I've been, so there is a lot of competition so to be #1 or even top 10 is a big deal.

Please read my review from last year, nothing changed it's still one awesome & delicious burger.

Prime Cincinnati, Congratulations on another Awesome burger week and still having the best burger all week and all year.

Primes 2019 Burger week burger!

Jack Burger

Prime Burger, Rocket Arugula, Aged Vermont Cheddar, Bourbon-Bacon Jam, Berkshire Bacon, Truffle Aioli, Brioche

Parking is rough here in the 6th street & walnut st. area, we usually park one street over by wahlburgers & up that next block or with luck you might catch a spot in front of Nada right across the street, parking is $2.50 an hour on the meters, with 1 hour an 12 mins on our meter, we had 17 mins left when done after eating 2 burgers.

I would suggest no matter what time you go, use open- table on prime's webpage to get a reservation, it's quick an easy to do.

Update  #2  We made a 3rd trip to Prime today at 1:15pm, it was just as good if not better than the 1st 2 trips, absolutely a delicious, just dive right into it a burger.

UPDATE!  MADE The 2nd TRIP TODAY Saturday 7/21/2018 and it was just as good as the 1st trip on Thursday for Burger week, so the review below still stands for today's visit, nothing changes.
We tried out this excellent place for the 1st time during Cincinnati Burger week, on 7/19/2018,
I actually had never heard of it before, and it's burger had never been mentioned in any other top 10 list I've seen for reviews in town.
This one is normally $11,  so that's a tremendous deal to get to try it out for $5
It was The Jack Burger Prime burger which is normally $11  with rocket arugula, aged Vermont cheddar, Jack Daniel’s infused bacon and onion jam, Berkshire bacon truffle aioli on a brioche bun.

What is Rocket Argula/Arugula or rocket is an edible annual plant in the Brassicaceae family used as a leaf vegetable for its fresh peppery flavor? Other common names include garden rocket, or simply rocket, & eruca.

What are Truffle Aoili/Truffles are an extremely rare, aromatic & delicious member of the fungi family?

Able to grow only in certain soil & climate conditions, they have an intense, earthy flavor that has long been considered a culinary delicacy. you can enjoy this rare & wonderful ingredient on sandwiches, burgers, as a dip or dolloped onto grilled fish.

Here is Prime claim,
We proudly serve Certified Angus Beef  The Best Angus Beef Ever Made!

I have eaten a LOT of burgers in my life, and this was hands down, the BEST burger I have ever had.

The Brioche bun was warm and soft and Brioche is my Favorite type of Burger Bun, but Wahlburgers had the best non Brioche I've ever had, but this one is as good as they come, overall an Excellent Bun, not quite the very best we've ever tasted in a bun, but extremely close, Delities in Maysville, Ky. has one delicious Brioche, just by a slight edge., .
The aged Vermont cheddar and Jack Daniels infused bacon were a spectacular pairing with a perfectly cooked, juicy beef patty, thick, Looks great with Grill marks on it, it definitely says take a bite now! I would guess it had Salt & Pepper but could not detect any other spices if it had them, this one Melts in you Mouth like butter & very juicy, the bacon was crisp but not hard & had an awesome flavor.
The Aged Vermont Cheddar was near perfectly melted & had an excellent flavor that added to the overall taste.
This Patty is as good, if not better tasting than any other Burger Patty we've ever tasted, B&A Street Kitchen had one awesome tasting burger patty that came close, but it's texture & freshness taste did not quite match this one, but it was definitely a close 2nd, soft, Juicy & delicious.
All the Toppings & additions, like the onion jam, just added to the overall flavor of the burger, the Bacon was crisp but not hard or tough, had a softer texture to it,  I would love to try their burger with just the brioche bun & the beef Patty, with regular lettuce, tomato, & onion on it, to see how that tastes, maybe sometime I might order one plain to go & make it my own at home, just to test that out.
The Execution & preparation & overall appearance of the Burger, It looks Delicious, can't wait to dive into it, nice fresh looking, the bun sort of had a glistening shine to it, the burger patty looked perfectly grilled with clear grill marks on it, from the nice green Rocket Argula, to the Bacon hanging over it & the perfectly melted cheese, we ordered it well done, cooked to order & that's how it came out.
We also got an appetizer of Deviled eggs and they were PERFECT.  Smooth and creamy with the right amount of salty taste from the bacon and chives.
Also added a side salad and it was excellent also, everything on the salad was crisp & fresh, well prepared.
I really can't say enough about how wonderful all of the food was. If you have never been to Prime Cincinnati you NEED to go. It is THAT good.
Prime Cincinnati was the general consensus as having the best burger in Cincinnati's Burger week in 2017 & 2018, so they extended their $5 Burger 1 additional week until July 29th, 2018, so we decided to on Friday the 27th.

Overall an extremely tasty burger, that left an awesome aftertaste in your mouth after every bite & even after we got in the car we could still taste the delicious flavors it left us with, I would recommend this Burger to anyone, anytime, even you personally did not rank it as the best ever, you would certainly have to agree it's as good as any or right up in the top 2 or 3.

Final Thoughts:  Absolutely Awesome Burger, the best I've had anywhere in 35 years of Blogging for the best Burger,  also very good Bun, I would eat here again anytime, and we have plans to do so again soon.

Definitely The New  #1 Burger on our List.

Final Rating: *9.6
  ( Extremely Exceptional-Must try it)

Deviled Eggs were also very Good!

The salad was excellent!

Official Review #71

590 Chamber drive

Milford, Ohio 45150

We went to the Milford, Ohio & Florence Kentucky Locations, they have 3 total locations in the area, I tried the Market Cut Bacon Cheddar Burger:  Topped with Market aged Cheddar Cheese, grilled onions, with savory garlic and Red Pepper Harissa mayo at the Florence Location, it was a big burger, & tasted great, it's definitely either going to be top 10 or right near the top, & that is not putting this burger down, as my Top 10 is tough to crack, the meat was very tasty, with bare minium spices, as usual, ordered it Medium Well done, the bun was huge, but also added to the flavor, the toppings of Lettuce, tomato & onions were all fresh and very good, overall an excellent burger, the fries were very good, I tried some of my Wifes  Steak & it was very tender & delicious, she also agreed on my opinion of the burger.  at the Milford Location we ordered the 1-pound Bigga Burger (chopped steakburger with ranch sauce and cheese and grilled onions seasoned in chipotle barbecue rub) This one was awesome & delicious, even better than the burger we tried at the other location, this one is part of their throwback menu & they say they don't plan to keep it for very long, in my opinion, a very stupid business decision as it's in my top 5 easy, it was huge, the biggest burger I've had anywhere, it came on a Hoagie style bun, shaped like a Steak Hoagie but thicker like a burger, the taste was just awesome, juicy & delicious, very well cooked, a handmade burger, with the perfect amount of spices, some salt & pepper for sure, cooked perfectly the way I ordered it.
Fries were very good, my WIfe ordered a Baked Potatoe and it was very good also, service in Florence was awesome, in several trips to Milford, it's been hit or miss each time, 1-time good service, the next can be anywhere from ok to almost having to ask for the manager.

Final Thoughts: very good Bun on the regular burger and very tasty one on the 1 pound burger,  and toppings were nice & fresh, very good Fries & Baked Potatoe, I would eat here again anytime, and we have and have plans to do so again soon.
The 1 pound is definitely top 5 & the other one is close to the top 10.

Final Rating: *9.0  For the 1-pound Bigga Burger   (Exceptional - Must try it)

Final Rating: *8.0
For the Market Cut Bacon Cheddar Burger.
(Try it - Above Average, Good to Very Good)

the 1-pound Bigga Burger (chopped steakburger with ranch sauce and cheese and grilled onions seasoned in chipotle barbecue rub) This is on huge awesome tasting sandwich.
